Reaching an all-time high, the average retail gas price was $4.039 per gallon according to the US Department of Energy. This is up an amazing 96 cents per gallon from a year ago at this time.
Diesel prices also remain high at an average price of $4.69 a gallon, up $1.90 a gallon from a year ago at this time.
