If it weren't so serious, it might be funny. One of the most pointless has been that ethanol is responsible for higher bread and beer prices among other things. Why? Because growers must have abandoned wheat to grow the all mighty corn.
Barley and wheat prices have skyrocketed as more farmers plant corn to meet increasing demand for ethanol, while others plant feed crops to replace acres lost to corn. - USATodayReally? The facts show otherwise. The USDA's crop website shows the wheat acres UP, yield productivity UP and total production, UP. The same is true for barley.

American agriculture is the envy of the world. The doom and gloom critics of ethanol will use anything regardless of the true facts to make their claims. And the media seems to be going along for the ride. Demonizing farmers and American agriculture will lead to less production. And that would really be "a crime against humanity".
