Gasoline Prices Up 84 Cents

DOE energy gasoline prices big oil high food costsThe Department of Energy released its weekly gasoline price as of 1/14/08, and the average price of unleaded gasoline was $3.068, up nearly 84 cents from a year ago.

It's no wonder that the price of gasoline is being blamed for increased inflation and higher cost of food and goods in America. That extra $20 each week for motorists filling up at the pump also means that consumers have less money to pay for those higher cost items as well.
